Export Steps

1

Log in to ChiroHD

Open your browser and navigate to your ChiroHD portal URL (typically yourpractice.chirohd.com or the URL you received during onboarding). Sign in with your admin credentials. ChiroHD has a modern, clean interface — after login you see a dashboard with appointment and patient analytics.

Tip:

You need an Admin or Office Manager role to access the data export features. If Reports is not in your navigation, contact ChiroHD support to verify your permissions.

2

Navigate to Reports

In ChiroHD's main navigation (typically the left sidebar or top navigation), click "Reports". The Reports section opens showing categories including Patient Reports, Financial Reports, and Data Exports.

Find "Patient Export" or "Data Export"

In the Reports section, look for a section or option labeled "Patient Export", "Data Export", or "Export Patient Data". This is the dedicated export tool — separate from the visual reports. Click it.

Select Export Format — Prefer CSV Over Tab-Delimited

ChiroHD's export tool may default to "Tab-Delimited" format. Look for a Format dropdown and change it to "CSV" if available. If only "Tab-Delimited" is available, that is fine — MedMasters can process tab-delimited files just as easily as CSV.

Note:

Check whether the export includes column headers. On the export configuration screen, look for a "Include Headers" or "Include Column Names" checkbox and make sure it is checked. If there is no such option, the export may not include headers — document the column order after exporting.

5

Run the Export and Check for Headers

Click "Export" to download the file. Open it in Excel immediately. Check whether Row 1 contains column labels (like "Last Name", "First Name", "Phone") or actual patient data (a real patient's last name in cell A1). This tells you whether headers are included.

  • Download and open the file in Excel
  • Look at Row 1 — is it column headers or patient data?
  • If Row 1 is patient data (no headers): note the column order left to right
  • Typical ChiroHD column order: Last Name, First Name, Date of Birth, Address, Phone, Mobile, Email, Last Visit, Status, Visit Count
  • Write down the column order to include in your message to MedMasters

Tip:

If ChiroHD shows a column preview or column selector before exporting, take a screenshot of it to share with MedMasters.

6

Send File + Column Order to MedMasters

Upload the file using the MedMasters secure upload link. In the message to your account manager, include the column order if there are no headers. For example: "Column A = Last Name, Column B = First Name, Column C = Phone, Column D = Mobile, Column E = Email, Column F = Last Visit, Column G = Status".

Note:

If the file has no column headers, MedMasters MUST know the column order to map the data correctly. Always include the column order in your message.

Known Quirks

⚠️

Default export format may be tab-delimited (.txt) rather than standard CSV — both work for MedMasters

⚠️

Column headers may not be included in the export — always open the file in Excel to verify

⚠️

If no headers: document the exact column order and include it with the file sent to MedMasters

Pro Tips

💡

Tab-delimited files are processed identically to CSV by MedMasters — do not worry about converting the format

💡

If ChiroHD shows a column selector before export, take a screenshot — it documents the column order automatically
