Modern cloud-based clinic management
Log in to Your Jane Clinic
Open your browser and navigate to your clinic's unique Jane URL — it is in the format yourpracticename.janeapp.com. Enter your admin email and password. Jane's interface is clean and modern — after login you will see the Schedule view showing today's appointments.
Note:
Patient reports are only available to clinic owners and Full Access users. Staff members with limited access cannot export patient lists.
Tip:
If you do not know your Jane URL, check any previous email from Jane App — the URL will be in the email footer or sign-in links.
Click "Reports" in the Top Navigation
In the top navigation bar, click "Reports". This opens the Jane Reports section with a list of available report types on the left side.
Select "Patients" Section
In the Reports left sidebar, click "Patients". This opens the Patients Reports section, which lists available patient-related reports including Patient List, Top Patients, Invalid Emails, Patient Notes, and Potential Duplicates.
Configure Filters (Staff Members, Status, Date)
On the Patient List report, use the filter dropdowns at the top to configure your export: Staff Members — leave as "All Staff Members". Patient status — select "All Patients" (this includes both Active and Archived clients). Created Date and Appointment Date — leave blank to capture all records. Click "Search" or wait for the report to load.
Tip:
"All Patients" includes both Active and Archived (inactive) clients in a single export.
Export via the Three-Dot Menu
Once the patient list loads, look for the three horizontal dots (•••) button in the top-right corner of the filter bar. Click it. A dropdown will appear with export options — select "Export to Excel" or "Export as CSV". Jane will generate and download the file immediately.
Tip:
The exported version of the Patient List Report includes additional columns not shown in the on-screen view, most notably a list of all Medical Alerts for each patient.
Understand the "Archived" Status
When you open the file in Excel, you will see a "Status" column with values "Active" and "Archived". In Jane, "Archived" means the client has been marked inactive — it is equivalent to "Inactive" for campaign purposes. Do not delete Archived clients from the file before sending to MedMasters.
Tip:
"Archived" in Jane = "Inactive" in other EHR systems. MedMasters treats them as reactivation targets — keep them in the file.
Send to MedMasters
Upload the exported file using the secure link your MedMasters account manager provided. Jane exports are among the cleanest and most complete in the industry — no additional configuration needed.
Note:
Do not email the file. Use only the secure MedMasters upload link.
Which MedMasters data fields are available in this EHR export.
Jane labels inactive clients as "Archived" — this is equivalent to Inactive in other systems
Patient reports are only available to clinic owners and Full Access users — staff with limited access cannot export
The export path is Reports → Patients → Patient List, accessed via the ••• (three-dot) menu — not from the Clients section
The exported file includes Medical Alerts columns not visible in the on-screen report view
Jane App has one of the cleanest exports available — all fields included, no complex configuration
The Patient List Report exports both Active and Archived clients when "All Patients" is selected in the status filter
Sync type: one way in
Navigate to Your Staff Profile
In Jane, click your name or avatar to open your staff profile. Scroll down to the "Calendars" section.
Connect to Google Calendar
Click the "Connect to Google Calendar" button. A new browser tab will open.
Select and Authorize Your Google Account
In the new tab, sign in to the Google account you want to connect and grant Jane the requested calendar permissions.
Verify the Connection
Return to Jane. You should see your Google Account name displayed with a green "Connected" badge. Your Google Calendar events will now block availability in your Jane schedule within minutes.
• One-way sync: Google Calendar → Jane only. Google events block Jane availability but Jane appointments do NOT push to Google Calendar.
• To see Jane appointments IN Google Calendar, use Jane's separate "Subscribe to Calendar" iCal feature instead.
• Only your primary Google Calendar syncs — secondary or shared calendars are not supported.
• Events show in Jane as "Busy - Google Calendar Event" with no titles or descriptions visible (staff privacy protection).
• Syncs events from the past 30 days and up to 12 months forward. Updates occur within approximately 1 minute.
• Only one Google account can be connected per staff profile.
• Disconnecting removes all previously synced Google events from your Jane schedule.
