Export Steps
Sign in to Maxident
Open Maxident on a workstation. Practice admin or owner role is required for full patient list export.
Open Reports → Patient Demographics
Click Reports → Patient Demographics Export. Set filters as needed.
Export to CSV
Click "Run" then "Export to CSV". Save the file to a HIPAA/PIPEDA-compliant location.
Send via Secure Upload Link
Upload the file using the secure link your MedMasters account manager provided. Do not email the CSV file directly — patient contact data must be transmitted securely.
Note:
Never send patient data as a plain email attachment. Patient data sent over unencrypted email violates HIPAA. Use only the secure upload link provided by MedMasters.

Known Quirks
Canadian — privacy laws are PIPEDA, not HIPAA. Adjust storage compliance language accordingly.
Date format is DD/MM/YYYY by default in some provinces.

Maxident's recall management is robust — use the recall report for cleaner reactivation lists.
Family-linked records share an account number — dedupe by email or phone individually.
