Cloud EHR for chiropractors, therapists, and wellness providers
Log in to SimplePractice
Navigate to simplepractice.com in your browser and click "Sign In" in the top-right corner. Enter your admin or practice owner email and password. SimplePractice is fully web-based — no software to install. Use Chrome or Firefox for best compatibility.
Tip:
SimplePractice uses "Clients" and "Sessions" terminology throughout — these correspond to Patients and Visits in other EHRs.
Open Settings from Your Account Menu
In the top-right corner of the SimplePractice interface, click your name or profile avatar. A dropdown menu will appear. Click "Settings" from the dropdown. The Settings page opens.
Navigate to "Exports" in Settings Sidebar
In the Settings page left sidebar, scroll down until you find "Exports" or "Export Account Data". Click it. If you see an "Account" section header, Exports will be under it. Some SimplePractice versions label this "Export" (singular) or "Data Export".
Tip:
If you cannot find "Exports" in the sidebar, try scrolling down — it is near the bottom of the Settings navigation.
Click "Export Clients"
On the Exports page, you will see buttons for different data types. Click "Export Clients" or "Export Client Information". SimplePractice will begin generating the export. A message will appear confirming that the export will be sent to your email address.
Note:
SimplePractice does NOT provide an instant browser download. The export is sent via email to the address associated with your SimplePractice account. This is by design — check your email inbox after clicking Export.
Retrieve the Export from Your Email
Check the inbox of the email address used for your SimplePractice account. You will receive an email from SimplePractice (typically from notifications@simplepractice.com) with a subject like "Your export is ready". Click the download link in the email to download the CSV file.
Note:
The download link in the email expires. Download the file as soon as you receive the email.
Tip:
If the email does not arrive within 10 minutes, check your spam/junk folder. The sender is typically notifications@simplepractice.com.
Verify the File — Note "Sessions" = Visits
Open the CSV in Excel. SimplePractice uses its own terminology: "Sessions" = Visits, "Last Session Date" = Last Visit Date, "Client Status" = Active/Inactive. The export is clean and well-formatted. Upload to MedMasters using the secure link.
Note:
Do not email the CSV file. Use only the secure MedMasters upload link.
Tip:
Note in your MedMasters message: "This is a SimplePractice export. Sessions = Visits, Last Session Date = Last Visit Date." MedMasters will map these automatically.
