Clearinghouse
Middleman that receives claims from your PMS and routes them to insurance payers.
A clearinghouse takes claims from your PMS, validates them, and forwards them in the format each insurance payer expects (usually X12 837). It returns rejection reports back to the practice. Common examples: Availity, Change Healthcare, Waystar, Office Ally.
